Sony Pictures has unveiled the synopsis its Marvel movie Kraven the Hunter. The description strongly suggests that the studio is laying the groundwork for the notorious villain to face off against Spider-Man.
Kraven the Hunter features Aaron Taylor Johnson in the titular role. The film’s synopsis, which is now available on the official Sony website, hints that it will lay the foundations for the infamous rivalry between Kraven and Spider-Man.

With Kraven the Hunter, Sony Pictures continues to expand its Spider-Man villain cinematic universe. Though it’s not clear when Kraven will eventually cross paths with Spider-Man, or which version of the web-slinger he’ll face, the name drop assures audiences that the momentous encounter is in the works.
This comes following the release of the official Kraven the Hunter trailer, which spotlighted Aaron Taylor Johnson’s depiction of the iconic Marvel antagonist. Known for his roles in Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Johnson steps into the shoes of Kraven, providing audiences their first glimpse of him in the role of Sergei Kravinoff.
Who is Kraven the Hunter?
A ruthless big game hunter who seeks the ultimate challenge in hunting Spider-Man, Kraven was first introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man #15. In the comics, Kraven is known for his physical strength, expert tracking skilll and his use of a serum that gives him enhanced abilities.
