Kristen Stewart revealed that had previously been told she could land a big-budget project, like a Marvel film, if she hid her sexuality.
After the Twilight films series came to end, Kristen Stewart began accepting projects that were smaller in scale and more character-focused. However, Kristen Stewart will return to the world of Hollywood blockbusters with next year’s Charlie’s Angels from director Elizabeth Banks.
During an interview with Bazaar, Kristen Stewart discussed a number of topics, including her sexuality and how she does not identify with a particular label. At one point during the conversation, Kristen Stewart reflected on how she was once told that if she ceased the public displays of affection with her girlfriend, she could land a Marvel project:
“I have fully been told, ‘If you just like do yourself a favour, and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.’
However, Kristen Stewart did not appear to care about how her sexuality has impacted her career, saying “I don’t want to work with people like that.”
