New Image From ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Spotlights Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah

A new image from next year’s Wonder Woman 1984 offers fans a fresh look at Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah.

Earlier this month, Warner Bros. dropped the first official trailer for the Patty Jenkins-directed Wonder Woman 1984. Unfortunately, the trailer didn’t tell us a lot about Kristen Wiig’s villainous Barbara Ann Minerva, a.k.a. Cheetah. The character can be seen talking to Wonder Woman at the start of the sneak peek as well as a few popping up in a few additional shots throughout it, but she’s never shown in her Cheetah form.

This Wonder Woman 1984 image from Empire Magazine sadly doesn’t give us a look at Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah form but we do get a better look at a scene from the trailer featuring the character. In it, Kristen Wiig can be seen walking through a building during a party, wearing a stunning black dress. You can check out the full image of Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984 below.

Full details on the Wonder Woman 1984 plot are being kept under lock and key, though the film is rumored to follow Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman as she comes into conflict with the Soviet Union in the 1980s and encounters a formidable new adversary named Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig.

Wonder Woman 1984 is being produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada serve as executive producers.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit theaters on June 4, 2020. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Gal Gatot’s Wonder Woman, Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
