Syfy officially announced it is developing a Krypton spin-off centered on DC Comics bounty hunter Lobo.
DC Comics villain Lobo is set to debut on the season 2 premiere of Krypton tonight, with Emmett J. Scanlan portraying the bounty hunter. Now, Syfy has announced it is developing a Krypton spin-off centered on Lobo, who is described as a “foul-mouthed, dangerous, irascible, intergalactic bounty hunter.”
Emmett J. Scanlan will reprise his Krypton role and the series will be produced by Warner Horizon Scripted Television. Krypton executive producer Cameron Welsh will serve as executive producer/writer on the project, which is currently under the working title “Lobo.”

Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe, Blake Ritson, Shaun Sipos, Colin Salmon, Georgina Campbell, Wallis Day, Ann Ogbomo, Aaron Pierre, Hannah Waddingham, Kem, Ian McElhinney, and Emmett J. Scanlan as Lobo.
Krypton season 2 will premiere on Syfy on June 12.
