Krysten Ritter’s new look has fans thinking she’s set to return as Jessica Jones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Netflix’s Marvel shows like Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Luke Cage have all left the streaming service and are on track to land on Disney Plus later this month. The unprecedented move will see Disney Plus launch parental controls as the Marvel shows are known for their mature content. With the Netflix Marvel characters finally heading towards Disney Plus, one can’t help but wonder if characters like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will pop up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Last year saw Daredevil and his foe Kingpin being folded into the MCU proper thanks to Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, respectively. While plans for these two characters, who originally appeared in Netflix’s Daredevil, are currently unknown, it’s clear that Marvel has concrete plans for these characters. While we don’t know if Jessica Jones or Iron Fist could return, the precedent has been set.

As speculation continues regarding the future plans for the Netflix Marvel characters, Krysten Ritter’s new look has fans thinking she’s on track to debut as Jessica Jones in the MCU. Taking to Instagram, an Austin, Texas-based hair salon shared photos of the star who seems to be rocking her classic Jessica Jones look. Take note of Krysten Ritter’s clothes, which echo the character’s iconic purple digs.

While this is still just speculation, the new look Krysten Ritter is going for lines up perfectly with her Jessica Jones image. Perhaps a return is imminent but it just hasn’t been announced. Only time will tell what Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has in store for Jessica Jones and the rest of the Defenders
