The Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani recently teased that the Marvel Studios film will feature a Bollywood-style dance scene.

Kumail Nanjiani recently appeared on Deadline’s New Hollywood podcast with his wife Emily Gordon to discuss a number of projects they’re working on, including his role in Marvel Studios’ The Eternals. The star revealed that a lot of the film sees the race of superheroes hiding in the present day, but he also explained that his character Kingo becomes a Bollywood star as a bizarre way of hiding his identity.

“A lot of it takes place in the present day. My character, for instance, is like ‘OK we’re supposed to keep a low profile, no one should know.’ So I become a Bollywood movie star, that’s my secret identity. We’re supposed to keep quiet and I’ve become the biggest Bollywood movie star.”

Nanjiani also revealed that The Eternals features a huge Bollywood dance scene involving his character, explaining that he prepared for the moment with intense dance classes, but that all of the dancers in the scene are professionals.

“I took months of Bollywood dance classes to prepare for that. It’s really a workout… and you know, there’s like 52 dancers, and 51 of them are professional dancers, and then there’s me!”
