Lady Gaga is set to play the iconic character of Harley Quinn in the upcoming comic book movie Joker: Folie à Deux. The image provides a sneak peek at Gaga’s take on the iconic DC Comics character, with the singer seen on a prop newspaper, featuring her mugshot from Arkham State Hospital.

The text featured on headline of the prop newspaper confirms that the version of Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux is an Arkham patient and romantically involved with Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck. The revelation has provided fans with a deeper understanding of the Harley Quinn’s Folie à Deux role.

Joker followed Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck as he transformed into the Clown Prince of Crime and Folie á Deux now looks set to show Harleen Quinzel following him into madness, with Lady Gaga playing the DC Comics villain. Phoenix earned an Oscar for his work as The Joker.
