Lady Gaga is now working on Joker: Folie à Deux.
On Wesdnesday, Lady Gaga took to her official Instagram page to thank the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for nominating her for the Top Gun: Maverick song “Hold My Hand.” In her Instagram post, Gaga revealed that she is now on the set of Joker: Folie à Deux, which has been filming since this past December.
Joker followed Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck as he transformed into the Clown Prince of Crime and Folie á Deux now looks set to show Harleen Quinzel following him into madness, with Lady Gaga playing the DC Comics villain. Phoenix earned an Oscar for his work as The Joker.
After the first film ended with Arthur Fleck in Arkham State Hospital, it’s likely that – as in previous iterations – Harleen Quinzel will start out as the Joker’s psychiatrist. Plot details are being kept under wraps but the a significant chunk of the sequel is expected to take place in Arkham.
