Space Jam A New Legacy LeBron James

The second trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy starring LeBron James has hit the web.

The upcoming sequel to the 1996 film that starred Michael Jordan has been in development for years, and with a little over a month from when it finally hits theaters and HBO Max, Warner Bros. Pictures has released the second trailer for the highly-anticipated new movie. The first trailer teased what fans should expect, with LeBron James on an adventure to find his son in a virtual world featuring the Looney Tunes as well as many other Warner Bros. characters.

This second trailer gives fans a glimpse at more of the action and adventure the four-time NBA Champion will embark on, including more footage of himself in animated form, in which he makes a humorous jab at comedian Kevin Hart, while also giving Bugs Bunny a warm embrace. The new trailer also teases more of the actual basketball game as well as a glimpse at Emmy Award-winner Zendaya as the voice of Lola Bunny.

Here is the synopsis for Space Jam: A New Legacy:

Welcome to the Jam! NBA champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter. This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee from a script written by Ryan Coogler and Sev Ohanian, Space Jam: A New Legacy stars LeBron James, Sonequa Martin-Green as Savannah James, Ceyair J. Wright as LeBron “Bronny” James Jr, and Don Cheadle. Ryan Coogler is also on board as a producer alongside LeBron James under his SpringHill Entertainment label, Duncan Henderson, and SpringHill’s Maverick Carter. Justin Lin, Sev Ohanian and Jamal Henderson are executive producing.
