Legends of Tomorrow roasted Aquaman in a deleted scene parodying Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
The sixth episode of Legends of Tomorrow featured short segments from a fictional children’s show titled “Mr. Parker’s Cul de Sac,” a favorite series from Ray Palmer’s childhood and obvious parody of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Now, The CW has released one of the deleted segments from the parody in which Mr. Parker slyly mocks Aquaman.
In the deleted Legends of Tomorrow segment, Mr. Parker is seen feeding his fish and informing kids that they require different food than humans before reflecting on what life would like underwater, saying, “if a superhero could breathe underwater, talk with the fishes, ride a big sea horse… why they would be the most respected of all the superheroes. No one would ever tease them.” Of course, this is a reference to the fact that Aquaman, especially the Super Friends version, has long been mocked by comic book fans for having what many consider to be lame superpowers.
