Legends of Tomorrow star Jes Macallan has reportedly signed a deal to return to the superhero team-up show Ava Sharpe for its upcoming fifth season on The CW.
This news comes courtesy of Deadline. The site broke the story earlier today that Jas Macallan is set to return to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, this time as a series regular. Jes Macallan will be reprising her role as Ava Sharpe in the show’s forthcoming season five.
Jes Macallan joined Legends of Tomorrow back in its third season as Ava Sharpe, a Time Bureau agent who ultimately got promoted to the head of her agency. For those not in the know, this makes a lot of sense. The CW superhero drama does a lot of time jumping; in fact, that is sort of its bread and butter as its ever-changing lineup of DC C-listers pop around and interact with some of history’s greatest figures.
Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Phil Klemmer let us in a little on why the team decided to commit more of its screen time to the time-traveling bureaucrat in the upcoming season:
Jes has a power to captivate in person as well as on screen.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’s fourth season will continue with an episode called Lucha de Apuestas next April 1 and it seems to be inspired by lucha libre, the Mexican sport derived from wrestling.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan, and Courtney Ford.
