The success of Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s The Lego Movie prompted the production of both The Lego Batman Movie and The Lego Ninjago Movie. Based on the toy line of the same name, little from the upcoming film has been revealed at this point. However, that soon may change as The BBFC has recently rated the first trailer for the film, indicating that it may be released ahead of The Lego Batman Movie.
The British Board of Film Classification, the organization for rating content in the United Kingdom, have given The Lego Ninjago Movie a U Rating, meaning it is suitable for audiences of all ages. According to the BBFC, the trailer will have a run time two minutes and twenty-three seconds.
If and when the trailer is released, be sure to check back with Heroic Hollywood for complete coverage.
In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power.
Directed by Charlie Bean, The Lego Ninjago Movie features the voice talent of Dave Franco, Michael Peña, Fred Armisen, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods, Abbi Jaconson, Jackie Chan, Justin Theroux and Olivia Munn.
The Lego Ninjago Movie will be released in theaters on September 22, 2017.
