Mark Hamill used his Joker voice to read president-elect Donald Trump’s New Year’s tweet. And many thought it was hilarious and sounded like exactly something the Joker would say. The Star Wars actor promised that there would be more Joker/Trump tweet readings, and Hamill didn’t break his promise.
At the Golden Globe Awards last week, talented and well-respected actress Meryl Streep used her acceptance of the lifetime achievement award to criticize Trump in a well-orchestrated and deeply moving speech. Knowing that Trump would strike out at Streep for her words criticizing him, Hamill took this opportunity to read the tweet in Joker’s voice.
Hamill called this recording “Return of the Trumpster.”
