Logan won’t be out in theaters for another two weeks, but many critics and press were able to see the film early this past Thursday. And, judging by Rotten Tomatoes, Logan is currently holding with a 96% positive ratings score. This is already far higher than the previous Wolverine films.

Directed by James Mangold, Logan is very much a contemporary western and one of the most highly anticipated superhero films of 2017. It’s the second R-rated superhero film to be released, the first one being Deadpool, and for a character like Wolverine, it’s been a long time coming.

The film debuted to press without an end-credits scene, however, 20th Century Fox has updated Logan’s run time and this suggests that there will be one added for general audiences.

The film is tracking to make $60 million during its opening weekend. The film will mark the final time Hugh Jackman will play the character of Wolverine, a role he originated in 2000’s X-Men.

Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant, Eriq LaSalle, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Boyd Holbrook.

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Logan is in theaters March 3, 2017.
