Logan will mark Hugh Jackman’s final time playing the titular hero and critics have already praised the film as a fitting conclusion to the character’s cinematic story. Having first played the role in Bryan Singer’s X-Men nearly two decades ago, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has become the definitive version of the character for a generation of superhero film fans. Now, 20th Century Fox has released a new video that emphasizes the passage of time since Jackman first took on the role back in 2000.
The twenty-five second video begins with the image of a young Wolverine, as he appeared in the first X-Men film, and slowly transitions to the an older Wolverine as he will appear in Logan.

Many fans of the X-Men films were young children when the classic comic book character’s were first brought to life on the big screen and Jackman’s retirement from the Wolverine role will certainly mark the end of an era for many fans.

Directed by James Mangold, Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Doris Morgado, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Patrick Stewart.
Logan will be released in theaters on March 3, 2017.
