Loki star Tom Hiddleston had a great reaction after watching his audition for the role of Thor.
Marvel Studios’ Thor films have largely centered on the conflict between Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. While both actors are widely regarded as the perfect choices for their respective roles, Tom Hiddleston actually auditioned for the role of Thor before being cast as Loki.
During an interview on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hiddleston recounted his 3-month-long audition process for Thor before the host screened footage of the Loki actor’s screen test as the God of Thunder. After watching his Thor audition, Tom Hiddleston simply replied, “I think we can all agree that they cast the right actor.”

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series is said to follow the character as he travels through time and becomes embroiled in major historical events. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also confirmed Loki will tie into the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Chris Hemsworth is set to re-team with Ragnarok director Taika Waititi for a fourth Thor film. Based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, the film will see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster becoming the new Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 5, 2021, while Loki is scheduled to debut on Disney Plus in early 2021.
