Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings actor Benjamin Walker has said that the upcoming series is unlike anything else we have ever seen.
There is a lot that we do not know about Amazon’s upcoming Lord of the Rings series. Beyond the fact that it’s been insanely expensive to produce and that it will take place well before the events of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, details on what the show will be about are hard to come by. According to Walker, this is all by design.
While speaking to Comic Book.com, Benjamin Walker talked at length about his Netflix film The Ice Road. The actor also has a role in Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings but, like all of the other actors in the show, we have no idea who he will be playing. According to Walker, the secrecy is not only due to non-disclosure agreements but because revealing anything about the show will spoil it:
“Well, I’ll tell you. I’ve done a few jobs where they say, ‘You can’t talk about it.’ Usually, that’s really annoying, because you’re excited about something, and you kind of going, ‘What difference does it really make?’ But on this one, having spent some time building it, as excited as you are, you don’t want to spoil it.
People have never seen what we’re doing. It’s going to be exciting. Even the smallest little hint about where it might be going or what it might be, it’ll just take that little bit of joy out of seeing it for the first time.”
