Lucasfilm has dropped a photo from Indiana Jones 5, showing Harrison Ford back in action as the titular archaeologist.

With production officially completed as of this past February, Lucasfilm has released a new photo from Indiana Jones 5, giving fans their first official look at the latest installment of the series starring Harrison Ford. The film sees Ford reprising the role of Indiana Jones for the first time since 2018’s The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, a low-point for the series.

Full plot details for Indiana Jones 5 are being kept under wraps, but Harrison Ford has mentioned that the film will see new developments in the adventurer’s life and relationships in addition to resolving part of his history. The film will mark Lucasfilm’s first entry in the franchise while under the Disney umbrella.

Who else is back for Indiana Jones 5?

John Williams is attached to write the Indiana Jones 5 score after having previously lent his talent to the past four chapters of the series. Steven Spielberg, who directed the previous four installments of the series, stepped out of the director’s chair for the fifth entry, with Logan helmer James Mangold taking over directorial duties.

Indiana Jones 5 opens in theaters on June 30, 2023. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming Lucasfilm project and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
