While Marvel’s Iron Fist Netflix series was not quite what comic book fans were hoping for, Finn Jones’ Danny Rand did show a lot of improvement when he appeared as part of Marvel’s The Defenders this past August. We learned a couple of weeks back that Danny would be appearing in Season 2 of Luke Cage, which is currently filming in New York, and now we have a whole slew of new images featuring the future Heroes For Hire together again.

New images of Danny and Luke together on the set of Luke Cage Season 2 have appeared on a Finn Jones fan site. While they started to become friendly in The Defenders, these images may suggest that they will still be butting heads. Either that, or they are just engaging in a nice sparring session, though, wouldn’t Colleen Wing’s dojo be a better place for this than in public?

Also worth noting is that Danny is wearing a hoodie featuring the words “Sweet X-Mas” on the back, a nice nod to Luke’s catchphrase, however, this is a bit confusing in an in-world story sense. Luke’s superheroics are public knowledge in the Netflix world, so perhaps someone is selling Luke Cage merchandise and Danny thought he would support his fellow Defender. Who knows, maybe Luke isn’t getting any of the profits and that is what leads to the two fighting. Heroes have fought for dumber reasons.

You can check out all of these images (there are over 50) here.

Marvel’s The Defenders stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Scott Glenn as Stick, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rachel Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Simone Missick as Detective Misty Knight, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Wai Ching Ho as Madame Gao, Elodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, and Sigourney Weaver as the villainous Alexandra.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Season 1 of Marvel’s The Defenders is now available to stream on Netflix. Season 2 of Luke Cage is expected to drop sometime in early 2018.
