Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’ Season 2 Has Officially Wrapped Filming

Actress Simone Missick posts photos on social media that confirm 'Luke Cage' Season 2 has wrapped filming. The Marvel/Netflix series will return in 2018.

Since we last saw the bulletproof Luke Cage on the Marvel/Netflix miniseries The Defenders, fans have been eagerly awaiting Season 2 of his solo series. Now it seems that the wait won’t be too long at all, because the upcoming season of Luke Cage has officially wrapped filming!

Actress Simone Missick, who plays Misty Knight on Luke Cage and also appeared in The Defenders, recently took to Instagram to share photos from the wrap party of season two. Many of the show’s cast members including Mike Colter, Theo Rossi and Alfre Woodard were also present at the celebration. Take a look!

With filming completely wrapped, Netflix is expected to release Season 2 of Luke Cage sometime in 2018. Jessica Jones Season 2 has also finished filming and will be released next year as well. Filming has just begun on Daredevil Season 3, with Iron Fist Season 2 expected to begin filming before the end of the year.
