Sony has released the first official trailer for its upcoming Marvel movie Madame Web, featuring Dakota Johnson in the lead role. The film introduces audiences to the live-action version of the Marvel character, known for her psychic abilities and connections to the Spider-Man universe.

Traditionally depicted as an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis, a condition that binds her to a life-support system resembling a spider web, Madame Web is a significant figure in the Spider-Man comics. In the comics, Madame Web possesses psychic abilities, including telepathy, clairvoyance, and prescience, which allow her to see within the Spider-Verse. This film adaptation seems to be taking a different direction, focusing on a younger version of the character.
