Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke returned in the series finale of Arrow and caused some major changes to the Arrowverse.
In the series finale of Arrow, the episode starts off with a flashback to the pivotal moment from Arrow season two when Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke kills Oliver’s mother. However, in the finale’s version of the season two scene, Oliver manages to get ahold of a weapon to save his mother and fight off Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke.
This Arrow timeline change is due to Oliver’s sacrifice in Crisis on Infinite Earths. It is now unknown what has happened to Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke after this moment was altered. Either way, this marked the return of Manu Bennet as the fan-favorite Arrow villain and revealed that Moira is now alive in this new timeline.
