Margot Robbie On When She Might Play DC Villain Harley Quinn Again

'Suicide Squad' star Margot Robbie comments on when she might return to play fan-favorite villain Harley Quinn in another DC film.

Suicide Squad may have been maligned by most, but Margot Robbie’s performance as Harley Quinn was generally well-received and left fans eager to see her reprise the role in future DC Extended Universe films. In an interview with Collider, Robbie indicated that she may return to play the fan-favorite DC villain sooner rather later.

After expressing her love for the character, Margot Robbie offered on update on when Harley Quinn might return to the big screen:

“I think we’re very close, actually. Everyone has been working really hard, myself included, to get Harley back on screen. I think it will be quite soon. There’s so much more to explore with her. I can’t wait! I hope next year, but with bigger films, it takes a lot longer to get it all up and running.”

When asked if she has had any conversations with Suicide Squad 2 director Gavin O’Connor about his vision for the film, Margot Robbie replied:

“I haven’t yet. I should! There’s so much that I need to do right now.”

Margot Robbie is currently expected to reprise her role as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad 2Gotham City Sirens, and an untitled spin-off opposite Jared Leto as The Joker written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Release dates for these projects have not yet been scheduled.
