Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar is launching a new iteration of the hit comic, and with Dave Lizewski no longer under the mask, the story will be introducing a new hero named Patience Lee. Fans have been asking Millar who he could see taking on the role of this new Kick-Ass in live-action and we now know his answer: Tessa Thompson.
Mark Millar name-dropped the Creed and Thor: Ragnarok star on his official Twitter page, revealing that Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson is a choice that really “jumps out” in his mind to play Patience Lee/Kick-Ass. You can check out Mark Millar’s tweet below:

Now that Mark Millar’s company Millarworld is owned by Netflix, a slew of adaptations are in development. Millarworld was launched in 2014 as a creator-owned publishing house, leading the creation of 18 published character worlds including Wanted, Kick-Ass, and Kingsman. Millar, the writer of notable works such as The Ultimates, Civil War, and Old Man Logan, runs Millarworld with his wife Lucy Millar.
