Martin Freeman is unaware what’s next for his character of Everett K. Ross in Black Panther 2.
Without a doubt, Martin Freeman will be in Ryan Coogler’s much anticipated Black Panther 2, which is currently being written. In the original Black Panther, Martin Freeman played CIA agent Everett K. Ross who was one of the first few people not from Wakanda to see the mystical land. Martin Free expertly played the role of a fish out of water, and is looking forward to seeing what’s next for his character in Black Panther 2.
Promoting Breeders at the TCA Winter Press Tour, Martin Freeman discussed how he has no idea what’s next for his character in Black Panther 2 and doesn’t want to bother director and writer Ryan Coogler – even though he really wants to. Comicbook.com was on hand to get exactly what Martin Freeman said.
“I’m having to stop myself from writing to Ryan Coogler and going, ‘Listen, mate, come on. What’s happening? What’s Everett Ross going to be doing?’ Because I don’t want to bug him and I don’t want to be one of those annoying actors. But, but yeah, I’m very keen to get back on it. And also I’m very intrigued as to what my character is going to be doing. I have literally no idea at all. And I don’t know who does have an idea. But yeah, I kind of, I’ve been ghost writing an email to Ryan in my head for the past few months. Because people are asking me about it.”
Black Panther 2 is set to hit cinemas in 2 years, which gives Ryan Coogler plenty of time to scribe a script that he’s really proud of, as well as beef up Martin Freeman’s role if he so pleases. After all, Black Panther has become Marvel’s crown jewel in many ways, which means that the stakes are high for whatever Ryan Coogler has in store for fans and critics. And knowing that Martin Freeman is just as excited as us to see what’s next means that he has the support of his cast as well!
