Marvel’s Chris Evans-Focused ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Trailer Officially Released Online

Steve Rogers is back!

Chris Evans Captain America Marvel

Marvel Studios has officially released the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, bringing an end to days of leaks and social media buzz after the footage debuted in front of early screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash last week.

The teaser confirms that Steve Rogers, once again played by Chris Evans, will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trailer introduces a major new wrinkle for the character, revealing that Rogers is now a father, with the brief footage centering on his life after the events that closed out Avengers: Endgame.

In addition to the Chris Evans-focused Avengers: Doomsday teaser, Marvel also released a new poster for the highly anticipated movie.

The trailer was first shown exclusively in theaters, attached to screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, before making its way online. Its release follows a wave of recent leaks, including character-focused previews that briefly surfaced on social media earlier in the week.

The Russo Brothers comment on Chris Evans’ return in Avengers: Doomsday

Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, who previously helmed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. In a brief statement shared online, the Russo brothers reflected on Rogers’ return.

“The character that changed our lives. The story that brought us all here together. It was always going to come back to this…”

Marvel is expected to continue this staggered rollout strategy. Additional teasers spotlighting other returning Avengers are reportedly planned in the coming weeks, gradually building toward the film’s full marketing campaign.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. Stay tuned for more updates on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
