Marvel Studios has revealed Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Avengers: Secret Wars film, and Fantastic Four for Phase 6 as well as the release date for all three films.
Back in 2019, Avengers: Endgame was released into theaters and made a mountain of money. Later that year, Marvel Studios revealed a bunch of new films and show for Disney Plus. However, there weren’t any new Avengers films announced at that convention. Now it appears that the next films, alongside a new Fantastic Four film, will be part of Phase Six for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Originally revealed during the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, little is known of the upcoming Fantastic Four film. Neither a cast nor a director has been announced but based on its release date it will probably play a big role in whatever Marvel has planned. Currently, the film is set to be released on November 6th, 2024.
Following the release of Fantastic Four, a new Avengers film, titled Avenger: The Kang Dynasty will premiere on May 2nd, 2025. Plot details are unknown but Kang the Conquerer first appeared in the Disney Plus series, Loki, and is set to make a return for Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. It is likely that more of the film will be set up in the upcoming film and Loki‘s second season. The most elaborate film, however, just might be coming out later that year.
During the panel, it was also revealed that a second Avengers film titled Avengers: Secret Wars would be released later that year on November 7th, 2025. In the comics, Secret Wars is the title of two separate event series. The first was published in the mid-1980s and involved a godlike being, known as The Beyonder, abducting the various heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe and forcing them to battle one another. The second series was published in the mid-2010s and focused on the Marvel heroes battling Doctor Doom who had remade the universe in his image following the destruction of the multiverse. It is unclear which version the upcoming story will draw its inspiration from.
