Marvel Runaways

Marvel’s Runaways officially debuted on Hulu today and while the promotional material for the show offered brief glimpses of Old Lace, a new image offering fans their best look at the genetically engineered dinosaur has been released.

Brought to life through a combination of CGI and an animatronic puppet created by Legacy Effects, series co-creator Josh Schwartz stated that there was no question about including Old Lace in the show:

“It was never an if, it wasn’t even when, it was how.”

Old Lace shares a psychic link with Gertrude York and actress Ariela Barer noted the similarities between her character and Daenerys Targaryen of Game of Thrones:

“Daenerys really paved the way for us women with reptiles. I am the Daenerys of our show.”
