Thunderbolts... assemble!

Marvel Thunderbolts

Marvel Studios has released a special look at Thunderbolts, offering fans fresh footage from the highly anticipated movie.

The Thunderbolts sneak peek, which premiered during Disney’s D23 event in Brazil, begins with an extended clip that was first revealed in a previous trailer, reintroducing audiences to the team’s eclectic roster of antiheroes before they’re attacked by Bucky Barnes. The rest of the special look plays like a traditional trailer, teasing the action-packed story of the movie. Check it out below.

The dialogue in the Thunderbolts sneak peek seemingly confirms that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, has purchased the Avengers Tower. This reveal answers a mystery first teased in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, when Tony Stark was in the process of selling the iconic building.

What to expect from Marvel’s Thunderbolts

Thunderbolts is part of Marvel’s Phase 5 and one of the final projects before the upcoming Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars. With its release next summer, Thunderbolts is expected to play a crucial role in leading up to these major crossover events, with rumors hinting that the movie is setting up the new Avengers team.

Thunderbolts also stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost. Lewis Pullman is rumored to be playing Robert “Bob” Reynolds, a.k.a. Sentry.

Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts premieres on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
