‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ PS4 Was Almost Made Without Miles Morales

Marvel Spider-Man PS4 Miles Morales

Fans just received some interesting news regarding one of their favorite characters from Marvel’s hit Spider-Man game exclusively out for the PS4.

Miles Morales, the playable ally of Peter Parker’s Spider-Man in the game, is definitely one the fans have come to enjoy during their experience from the game. Once the news broke about the PlayStation title news of his character was met with positive and enthusiastic reactions from fans everywhere. However, according to Insomniac Games Creative Director Bryan Intihar claims Morales wasn’t originally intended to be that big a deal in the game.

“Originally, Miles was not gonna be a big part of the game at all. He was originally just a tease… When we started developing the first story, he really wasn’t there until a post-credits scene. I think the original plan… He was gonna be watching the events of what happened in the game on a computer, and someone said ‘Miles’ or something like that… I had read the Miles comics over the years, but then I was kinda like, ‘let me read them, again.’”

Miles was set to be just a post-credits tease and then as the story progressed, the creators realized he was poised for a much bigger role.

“I started getting more and more into him, and I said, ‘is there any way we can put him more in there?’ And we talked a lot about making this a very unique Spider-Man universe. Like the familiar with the fresh. Familiar, but still mix things up.”

After that, Intihar brought up the idea of Morales playing a bigger role to the game’s head honcho and then it came to be. This new direction worked extremely well and now fans of the famed comic character can not only see him in the video game, but they can play as him.
