Netflix unveiled the cast list for Masters Of The Universe: Revelation and Mark Hamill has been tapped to voice the villain Skeletor.

The Master of Universe story will continue with a new anime series from Netflix and fan-favorite filmmaker Kevin Smith. Titled Masters Of The Universe: Revelation, the series will continue the unresolved stories of He-Man, Skeletor, and other classic characters from the franchise.

Now, Netflix has announced that Star Wars icon Mark Hamill has been cast to voice the nefarious Skelator. Of course, few Masters of the Universe fans need to be reminded that Skeletor is the purple-hooded blue humanoid who seeks to conquer Castle Grayskull and take over the world of Eternia.

As fans know, Mark Hamill is no stranger to voicing villains or working with Kevin Smith. In addition to voicing the Joker for several years, Mark Hamill appeared in Kevin Smith’s film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Based on the Mattel franchise of the same name, Masters of the Universe centers on the conflict between He-Man, the secret identity of Prince Adam, and the villainous sorcerer Skeletor on the planet Eternia. The franchise has previously spawned an animated TV series that ran from 1983 to 1985 and a 1987 live-action Masters of the Universe film starring Dolph Lundgren.
