Matthew Vaughn’s ‘Kingsman’ Prequel Film Gets An Official Title

20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Studios have revealed Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman prequel is officially titled The King’s Man and set a 2020 release date for the film.

Based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, director Matthew Vaughn’s first two Kingsman films centered on Taron Egerton’s Gary “Eggsy” Unwin’s efforts to save the world as an agent of Britain’s top-secret spy organization, The Kingsman. The first entry in the film series earned a worldwide total of $414 million worldwide while the sequel grossed $411 million globally, prompting Fox to give Matthew Vaughn the greenlight for a third chapter of the Kingsman story.

Now, Matthew Vaughn’s third entry in the film series will explore the origins of the spy agency and 20th Century Fox officially announced the prequel will be released in theaters in February 2020. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in THE KING’S MAN, directed by Matthew Vaughn, coming to theaters February 2020.

Written and directed by Matthew Vaughn, The King’s Man stars Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Djimon Hounsou, Gemma Arterton, Charles Dance, Tom Hollander, Stanley Tucci and Ralph Fiennes.

The Lion King DisneyDisney released several new character posters for the remake of The Lion King.

Disney's remake The Lion King is next in the studios' line-up of live-action retellings of their animated classics and now several new character posters for the film have been unveiled. These new posters for The Lion King may offer the best look yet at the photo-realistic versions of Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Scar, Timon, Pumbaa, Sarabi, young Simba, young Nala, Sarabi, Rafiki, and Zazu.

Here is the official synopsis for The Lion King:

Director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
