Michael Giacchino Calls Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ Fresh & Different

Michael Giacchino, composer for the upcoming Robert Pattinson film, The Batman has said that the upcoming adaptation feels fresh and different.

Michael Giacchino, Robert Pattinson, and Matt Reeves undoubtedly have a lot of pressure on their shoulders. The upcoming film, The Batman is set to be the first solo live-action Batman film since the 2012 film, The Dark Knight and the conclusion of the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy.  The film also has to contend with the fact that it will be the first Batman film to be released following Ben Affleck’s departure from the role. But The Batman composer Michael Giacchino seems to thing that the film is going to impress people.

During a recent interview with Collider, The Batman composer Michale Giacchino spoke a bit about the upcoming Robert Pattinson film. While he couldn’t give away to many details he did say that he felt the same excitement for the film when reading a new comic book with a new take on the material and called what Matt Reeves doing fresh and different:

“I do love it. I think what he’s doing is really cool, and it’s different and it feels fresh. In the way that I get excited when I see a new graphic novel or a comic book coming out with a new take on it. It feels like that.”

Full plot details on Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and is said to feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow the Caped Crusader during his early years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
