Digital artist House of Mat created an image depicting Michael Keaton in the Flashpoint Batman costume.
30 years ago, Michael Keaton made his debut as the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s Batman and a number of fans have been clamoring to see him reprise the role as an older Dark Knight. However, digital artist House of Mat created a photo that imagines what Michael Keaton would look like as the Flashpoint version of Batman instead, using an Unreal Toys figure of the Caped Crusader for inspiration.

For those unaware, the Flashpoint storyline in the comics followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. In this alternate world, Thomas Wayne became Batman after his son, Bruce, was murdered and his wife, Martha, consequently went mad and became the Joker.
The Dark Knight will soon return to the big screen with Robert Pattinson in the role. Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for more updates!
