‘Mission: Impossible 6’: Tom Cruise Performs Crazy Stunt In New Photos

Tom Cruise Mission Impossible

A new batch of set photos from the upcoming sixth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise has revealed Tom Cruise performing what could be his next major stunt from the ongoing film series.

Cruise was spotted in the English countryside learning to parachute jump before boarding a light aircraft and ascending into the sky for the star to perform a death defying stunt. It’s unclear whether or not this is the stunt that Skydance Media CEO David Ellison revealed Cruise had been training to perform for a year but the actor doesn’t seem to be having any trouble continuously stepping it up a notch film after film with the epic stunts that serve as the centerpiece for the Impossible films. You can check out the photos here.

Director Christopher McQuarrie returns to helm the sixth installment. McQuarrie has also written the script and is producing the film along with Cruise, Don Granger and J.J. Abrams as well as Ellison and Dana Goldberg of Skydance Productions. The film is being shot with IMAX 3D cameras.

Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film stars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Michelle Monaghan, and Simon Pegg. In addition, the sixth installment has added Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, Frederick Schmidt (Supergirl), Sian Brooke (Sherlock), and The Crown actress Vanessa Kirby into the mix. Kirby is said to be in a role that is on the same level as Ferguson’s character who co-led Rogue Nation with Cruise.

Mission: Impossible 6 hits theaters on July 27, 2018.
