‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Gets An Official Title & Synopsis

Tom Cruise has revealed the title of the next chapter in the Mission: Impossible series along with the film's official synopsis.

The next chapter in the Mission: Impossible series now has a title!

Franchise star Tom Cruise took to Instagram this morning to announce that the highly anticipated movie is officially titled Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Cruise also shared a new image from the movie, featuring himself hanging from a helicopter, with a caption that reads: “We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more.”

Production on Mission: Impossible – Fallout kicked off all the way back in April 2016 and Cruise was spotted filming the project earlier this month. The film was shot in Paris, London, India and New Zealand with IMAX 3D cameras.

The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible – Fallout also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Sean Harris, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Cavill, Sian Brooke, Frederick Schmidt and Angela Bassett
