Cara Buono and Mitch Pileggi have joined the fifth season of Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl.

The fifth season of Supergirl begins next month and two ancient aliens will join the Melissa Benoist series as recurring characters. Cara Buono’s Gamemnae is an ancient alien who has been protecting Earth from the actions of humanity for ages along with other members of her species. When the character debuts on the series, Gamemnae’s goal of using technology to subjugate humans will put her at odds with her allies and Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl. Cara Buono’s Gamemnae is described as a character who is always ten steps ahead of her enemies thanks to her cunning, witty, and ruthless ways.

Mitch Pileggi’s Rama Khan is an ancient alien who isdescribed as arrogant and willful with the ability to control fire, water, earth, and air. While Mitch Pileggi’s Rama Khan was assigned to protect Earth from mankind, his new ambition will bring him into conflict with Lena Luthor and Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl.
