The cast of the latest Spider-Man spinoff, Morbius, expands its cast as Jared Harris joins Jared Leto in its main cast.
The story came exclusively from Deadline that announced that Jared Harris, son of the late Richard Harris, would be joining the cast alongside Jared Leto, Adria Arjona, and Matt Smith. The actor is perhaps best known for his roles in television shows like the AMC show Mad Men, the Netflix series The Crown and films like Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. His role in the upcoming film is currently being kept under wraps.

Morbius will be the first film to expand Sony’s Universe of Spider-Man Characters after Venom managed $852 million at the worldwide box office.
Sony’s Morbius film is set to be directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) from a script written by Netflix’s Lost in Space creators Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the project with Lucas Foster. Palak Patel will oversee for Sony.
Morbius stars Jared Leto as the lead anti-hero, along with Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, Jared Harris, and Matt Smith. The film is rumored to feature an original character by the name of Loxias Crown as the main villain, who may be based on the supervillain Crown aka Hunger who has gone up against both Morbius and Spider-Man in the past.
Morbius will be released in theaters on July 31, 2020.
