After the huge success that was Venom, Sony is expanding their shared cinematic universe with a Morbius the Living Vampire film starring Oscar-winner Jared Leto. The film is currently in production, but fans have already spotted some neat tips of the hat to some Marvel lore, including Stan Lee and Silver Sable.
Courtesy of eagle-eyed Reddit user JLSComics, we have photographic proof of some Easter Eggs on the set of the Morbius movie. One, in particular, recognizes popular Spider-Man frenemy, Silver Sable. There is also a nod to former Marvel Comics publisher and Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee. The late Hollywood icon may not be able to film any more cameo appearances in Marvel films, so it is nice to see those working on these projects carry the light for him.
Check out the nods to Stan Lee and Silver Sable (among others) on the set of the upcoming Morbius film at the original Reddit post, which you can access below:

Directed Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, Morbius stars Jared Leto as the lead anti-hero. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the project with Lucas Foster. Palak Patel will oversee for Sony.
In addition to Jared Leto and Matt Smith, Morbius also stars Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft and Tyrese Gibson as an FBI agent hunting Morbius. Jared Harris is also on board as the titular character’s mentor.
Morbius opens in theaters on July 31, 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for more updates on the project and the rest of Sony’s Spider-Man spin-offs.
Venom Concept Art Reveals Ridiculous Chest Symbol Designs For Tom Hardy
New concept artwork for Tom Hardy's Venom shows off several versions of the symbiote chest symbol, revealing the designs for what we could have gotten in the film.
It's safe to say that Tom Hardy's Venom wasn't enjoyed much by critics, but fans seemed to have liked it given how well it did at the box office. The film lacked modern elements of a superhero film and felt like it disregarded storytelling, a tight plot and a convincing story for its characters. Nevertheless, the action sequences and the CGI for the Venom characters were outstanding. Be that as it may, many fans missed the fact that Venom himself didn't feature the classic white spider on his chest, which was a big let-down after several years waiting for a new iteration of the Spider-man baddie after the whole Topher Grace fiasco in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3.
Well, new concept artwork revealed by The Venom Site recently surfaced and it features a white chest brand for Tom Hardy, but not the classic white spider. Nevertheless, it's a more comic accurate look for Tom Hardy than the one we saw in the film. Check out the pictures in the gallery below.
Venom follows Eddie Brock as he attempts to revive his journalism career by investigating the Life Foundation only to come into contact with an alien symbiote that bonds with him, granting him powers and transforming him into the titular anti-hero.
A sequel to Venom is currently in the works at Sony Pictures with writer Kelly Marcel. Hardy, Williams, and Harrelson are expected to return, but Fleischer likely won’t be back in the director’s chair as he’s busy shooting the studio’s Zombieland sequel.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, the film stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.
One of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters takes center stage as Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) becomes the host for the alien symbiote Venom. As a journalist, Eddie has been trying to take down the notorious founder of the Life Foundation, genius Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed) – and that obsession ruined his career and his relationship with his girlfriend, Anne Weying (Michelle Williams).
Upon investigating one of Drake’s experiments, the alien Venom merges with Eddie’s body, and he suddenly has incredible new superpowers, as well as the chance to do just about whatever he wants. Twisted, dark, unpredictable, and fueled by rage, Venom leaves Eddie wrestling to control dangerous abilities that he also finds empowering and intoxicating. As Eddie and Venom need each other to get what they’re looking for, they become more and more intertwined — where does Eddie end and Venom begin?
Venom is now available on Digital HD and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD.
