It seems the superhero hype train hasn’t even begun to slow down as more and more actors express their interest in coming aboard. Some actors aren’t even satisfied with one go-around. We’ve seen Chris Evans go from the Human Torch to Captain America, Josh Brolin played villains Thanos and Cable in back-to-back blockbuster releases, and even Ryan Reynolds went from whatever that Green Lantern movie was to Deadpool. Speaking of Deadpool, Reynolds’ co-star Morena Baccarin has been quite vocal about a role she’s always wanted: Catwoman.

One of the best femme fatales DC Comics has ever given us, Selina Kyle/Catwoman has become one of the most iconic and interesting anti-heroes in the genre. Equal parts ruthless and caring, it’s a dream role. Previously Catwoman has been played on the big screen by the likes of Julie Newmar, Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway.

When asked about the rumor that Baccarin would be willing to join the DC Extended Universe, the star of the upcoming Deadpool 2 answered, saying, “It’s so true! I’ve wanted to play Catwoman forever.”See for yourself below.

You can see Morena Baccarin now in Deadpool 2. Directed by David Leitch, the film stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers/Cable, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapcic as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, and Karan Soni as Dopinder.

After surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Deadpool 2 will be released in theaters on May 18, 2018.
