The Ms. Marvel series is set to debut on Disney Plus later next year.

Ms. Marvel was originally set to debut on Disney Plus later this year. Variety, however, reports that the series has been pushed to 2022, coinciding with the release of The Marvels, the Captain Marvel sequel. The reason for the delay is said to be because of the abundance of Marvel projects releasing this year. As the year nears its end, fans can expect Shang-Chi‘s Disney Plus debut, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the Hawkeye series.

Details on Kamala Khan’s debut are slim, as we haven’t even received our first official look at the character in costume yet. Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan is also set to appear in The Marvels alongside Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau. The Marvels is set to release in mid-November later next year, so it’s likely that Ms. Marvel will hit Disney prior to the Captain Marvel sequel’s debut.

Just like 2021, 2022 is set to be a stacked year for Marvel on the Disney Plus side. Fans can expect Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk and Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight to hit the streaming service. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will release sometime next year to coincide with Christmas. The theatrical side of the MCU is huge as well, with the highly anticipated Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness set to hit cinemas in March, with Thor: Love and Thunder and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever following. The final film for 2022 is set to be The Marvels.

Created by editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, writer G. Willow Wilson, and artists Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie, Kamala Khan made her debut in Captain Marvel #14 before becoming the lead character in a solo comic series. Khan became the company’s first Muslim character to headline her own comic book run and the first issue of the series won the 2015 Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story.

The series is expected to debut on Disney Plus in 2022. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan and the future of the MCU on the big screen and small screen, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
