Disney Plus’ Ms. Marvel series will be released theatrically in Pakistan where the streaming service is not available.
The various Marvel series have all been big hits for Disney Plus. While none of these shows have quite achieved the success of the second season of The Mandalorian or Loki, they remain a solid source of entertainment for Marvel fans in between the theatrical releases. While Moon Knight continues to thrill fans, the next series, Ms. Marvel, will release soon after the Oscar Isaac series bows out. Disney and Marvel, however, have opted to take a different approach for the show where Disney Plus is currently unavailable.
Series director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy announced on her Instagram that Ms. Marvel will be in theaters in Pakistan. Kamala Khan is Marvel’s first Muslim superhero of Pakistan descent so it was arguably important for the series to be shown in the country for those involved. Episodes 1 and 2 will come to theaters on June 16th, episodes 2 and 4 on June 30th with the final two making their way to the big screen on July 14th.
Here is the synopsis for the new MCU series, Ms. Marvel:
Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?
The upcoming MCU series Ms. Marvel stars Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Fawad Khan, and Mehwish Hayat.
Ms. Marvel will premier on June 8th on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming Disney Plus series and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
