‘The Mummy’ Trailer Set To Arise Sunday, Possibly With ‘Walking Dead’

The next trailer for Universal's The Mummy is scheduled to arrive for this weekend, possibly airing alongside the finale to The Walking Dead.

After The Wolfman bombed and Dracula Untold underperfomed (but still made some profit), Universal is hoping that their third time trying to kick off a shared universe of monster movies is the charm, as The Mummy is set to deliver thrills, spills, and chills. The next trailer is looking to drop sometime this Sunday.

Trailer Track is reporting that the newest trailer for The Mummy has just been classified, and is expected to air this Sunday. That makes it too late to attach the trailer to any of the new movies that come out this weekend, but this would put it in a good position to drop alongside the highly-anticipated season finale of The Walking Dead.

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension. From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy awakens on June 9, 2017. The film’s cast includes Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Courtney B. Vance, and Russell Crowe.
