While Marvel Studios’ 3-hour long Avengers: Endgame featured an insanely huge cast of characters, it didn’t have much room or time to introduce many cool new characters. Well, other than Fortnite troll, Noobmaster69, of course. But, Avengers: Endgame may have teased one new character.
SPOLIERS FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME BELOW
Avengers: Endgame had more easter eggs than the Easter Bunny himself, but this potential teaser was so low key that it’s no surprise that most fans missed it. Early in the film, just after the 5-year time jump, Natasha is speaking to Nebula, Rocket, Okoye, Captain Marvel, and Rhodey via holograms from the Avengers base. Okoye reports that there was an “underwater earthquake,” to which Nat asked how it’s being handled. Okoye replies saying that it’s an underwater earthquake, the way they’re handling it is by not handling it.
For some, that can just be a line to show Natasha’s mental state and her feeling a lack of control over things. On the other hand, some fans thought that it could potentially be a reference to chaos under the sea, where Namor reigns king of Atlantis. Namor would undoubtedly have his hands full, the same as the Avengers, dealing with repercussions of the decimation from Thanos’ snap. Or, perhaps it’s even a struggle for control and Namor himself was dusted along with half the universe.
What do you think of Namor possibly being teased in Avengers: Endgame? Let us know in the comments down below!
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Avengers: Endgame is now playing in theaters!
