The latest batch of Thor: Love and Thunder set photos reveal our first look at Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie in the upcoming sequel.

Production on Thor: Love and Thunder is underway in Australia, and so far, we’ve got a look at Chris Hemsworth’s new look as the God of Thunder, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy, and cameo appearances by Matt Damon and Melissa McCarthy. As filming continues, the Daily Mail shared the first set photos of Natalie Portman’s return as Jane Foster along with Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie.

In the Thor: Love and Thunder set photos, we see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie in civilian clothes, and what appears to be some Asgardian soldiers. Jane Foster will become the Mighty Thor in the sequel, while Valkyrie will presumably be the King of New Asgard. Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently being kept under lock and key, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on May 6, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
