As we begin to ramp up to Stranger Things 2, Netflix is continuing to dole out posters that pay tribute to the films that inspired the streaming services smash hit series about the mysterious disappearance of a young boy in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana.
Following the Stand by Me, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Running Man inspired posters, the latest poster released is a nod to Ridley Scott’s original classic Alien. The poster itself features the egg seen in the Upside Down as it teases a tagline similar to Alien’s, “In space no one can hear you scream”. While it’s easy to speculate that the egg from the Upside Down could possibly and probably have contained another monster — maybe even another Demogorgon — concept art from the series has already revealed the egg itself serves as food for the petal-faced monster. Think about it, did you ever see the Demogorgon actually feed off any of its victims?
