Netflix Releases ‘Alien’ Inspired ‘Stranger Things’ Poster

Stranger Things Netflix

Stranger Things NetflixAs we begin to ramp up to Stranger Things 2, Netflix is continuing to dole out posters that pay tribute to the films that inspired the streaming services smash hit series about the mysterious disappearance of a young boy in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana.

Following the Stand by Me, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Running Man inspired posters, the latest poster released is a nod to Ridley Scott’s original classic Alien. The poster itself features the egg seen in the Upside Down as it teases a tagline similar to Alien’s, “In space no one can hear you scream”. While it’s easy to speculate that the egg from the Upside Down could possibly and probably have contained another monster — maybe even another Demogorgon — concept art from the series has already revealed the egg itself serves as food for the petal-faced monster. Think about it, did you ever see the Demogorgon actually feed off any of its victims?

You can check out the latest Stranger Things poster below.

Stranger Things 2 stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp. In addition to Astin, the series has also added Paul Reiser (Aliens), Brett Gelman (Jobs), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers), Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen, and Broadway star Sadie Sink into the mix as well. Here’s the official synopsis:

It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

Stranger Things 2 hits Netflix October 27, 2017. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the next season of Stranger Things as we learn it.
