Netflix Debuts Official Trailer For Chris Hemsworth’s ‘Extraction’

Netflix released the official trailer for Chris Hemsworth’s upcoming film Extraction.

After working together on Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, directors Anthony and Joe Russo re-teamed with Thor actor Chris Hemsworth on a new action flick that will debut on Netflix later this month. Titled Extraction, the Netflix film was penned by Joe Russo with both brothers serving as producers alongside Chris Hemsworth.

Now, Netflix has released the official trailer for Extraction, offering fans a fresh glimpse at the action thriller. In addition to being filled with action and gunfire, the trailer also features intense sequences of Chris Hemsworth in hand-to-hand combat as he tries to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord.

Hemsworth will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe win Thor: Love and Thunder. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the film will be based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi, Love and Thunder is set to star Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 18, 2022.

Here is the official synopsis for Netflix’s Extraction:

Tyler Rake (Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose when his skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible, forever altering the lives of Rake and the boy.

Directed by Sam Hargrave from a script written by Joe Russo, Extraction stars Chris Hemsworth, David Harbour, and Derek Luke.

Extraction will be released on Netflix on April 24, 2020.
