New Footage Revealed In Extended ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer

Suicide-Squad-bannerInformation has surfaced once again regarding the run time of Suicide Squad. Cinema chain AMC, have the film listed as taking 2 hours and 3 minutes. Fandango still lists the run time as 2 hours and 10 minutes, however that may include the credits and the Australian film ratings board corroborated the 2 hours, and 3 minutes run time. Either time would make Suicide Squad the shortest film to date in the DC Extended Universe.

An extended version of the final Suicide Squad trailer aired during The ESPYS, and THR have posted it online. Check it out below:

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad is the next film in the DC Extended Universe following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Written and directed by David Ayer and the film stars Viola Davis, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz , Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Adam Beach, and Karen Fukuhara in her feature film debut.

Suicide Squad opens worldwide in 3D, and in 2D, and in select IMAX 3D theaters from August 5, 2016.

It’s been my experience to never raise the bar of expectations when dealing with dceu. Just expect the expected, and you won’t be too disappointed.

See that’s the thing I never understood about fans of comic book movies. They only hold them to the standard of a comic book except this is a different platform entirely I have high expectations because it’s a movie, I’ve been in love with comics and movies since I’ve had memory and movies aren’t about making money or making something flashy it’s an artform, a true test of skills, you’re creating something in the hopes of captivating a group of people and making them believe that what’s in front of them is actually happening for at least an hour or two. Do you know how extremely difficult it is to put millions of people in a state of trance and tell them a story and through the evolution of people and the growth of the mind it gets much more difficult. I think having high expectations for movies are always justified especially when they’re so many movies that exist that have had so much more obstacles in front of them but end up better than 98% of these movies that have carte blanche. I for one can’t wait for the day I have the opportunity to make one of these into a true masterpiece.
