Fans have just been granted their first look at a brand new image of Wonder Woman.
The Amazon princess had her big-screen debut in 2016’s Batman v Superman, where the core members of the upcoming Justice League began to coalesce into something resembling a team. Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince was established as a super-powered being that had a long history with the world of men, a hesitant alliance that began in the First World War. This background will be explored in Wonder Woman, as will Diana’s origins. Her story, along with the stories of Batman and Superman, will continue in this year’s Justice League, although the DCEU’s versions of Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash are yet unknown entities to fans.
Wonder Woman will be the first theatrical outing for the superhero, whose last solo live-action appearance was in a television show that ran from 1975 to 1979. Check out the image released by Empire below:
Here’s the official synopsis for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman:
Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. The film was directed by Patty Jenkins, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Lucy Davis and Lisa Loven Kongsli.
