A new open-world survival Terminator video game from Nacon has been revealed.
The Terminator franchise hasn’t had the best time as of late. The first two films, The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day are both considered to be action/science fiction classics. Following James Cameron’s departure from the franchise, things have not been the same.
The last three installments of the Terminator franchise underperformed at the box office and failed to get a new series of films off the ground. On the video game front, things have not been much better. The franchise saw crossovers with Fortnite, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Gears 5, and Mortal Kombat 11. The last full game in the franchise was Terminator: Resistance which received a mixed reception from critics but developed a dedicated fan following. Now, at least one publisher is looking to bring the franchise back to the medium in a big way.
Earlier today publisher Nacon revealed that a new open-world survival game set in the Terminator universe was in development. The currently untitled project takes place after the events of Judgement Day but before John Conner rallied The Resistance against Skynet. The game in question currently does not have a release date and is being developed by Nacon Studio Milan.
